Food Pantry

The Plymouth Food Pantry, located inside the St. Vincent de Paul Store in Plymouth, serves the northwestern portion of Sheboygan County.  They distribute over 10,000 food items each month to eligible residents and are currently assisting over 450 families (totaling 1200 individuals). The food and other items distributed are provided through a variety of donations (e.g., cash, gifts of food from local businesses, organizations, churches, schools, and individuals, as well as food drives organized by many small business and community groups).

The Food Pantry is a collaborative community effort supported by a coalition of area churches and is governed by a board, which is made up of members of the area church members.  It has over 100 dedicated volunteers that support its day-to-day operations. There are no paid employees.

First Congregational UCC provides service volunteers twice within the same week during the month throughout the year. Service dates areTuesdays from 2:00pm – 5:00pm and the following Saturday from 10:00am – 12:00pm. Volunteers are asked to show up 30 minutes prior to their shift. Volunteers stand in front of the shelves and the customers point to what they would like and we box/bag it for them.
